Meet Reuben
At 22 years old, East Sussex-based Reuben Lowe is about to embark on his debut season in the Student Motorsport Competition, part of the prestigious BRSCC Nankang Tyre CityCar Cup Championship.
While his days are spent as a professional arborist, Reuben’s focus is firmly set on a long-term racing career with the goal of a factory drive in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Reuben’s motorsport journey began at the age of 11 in the highly competitive world of karting. When financial challenges meant an extended karting career was not possible, Reuben pivoted to sim racing under the mentorship of professional race driver Charles Rainford. Under the guidance of the Porsche Carrera Cup and BTCC star, Reuben has gained an extensive knowledge of the UK’s most iconic circuits – experience that will stand him in good stead for his 2026 campaign.
This year marks a milestone year for Reuben as he embarks on his first full-season entry into circuit racing. The Student Motorsport Competition was chosen as the perfect platform for talent development, offering a high-visibility series to showcase his talents.
Reuben Lowe is joining the grid with Pitlane Development (PLD), a new team founded by ex-F1 and GT mechanic and engineer Ollie Walsh. Dedicated to launching careers in motorsport, the PLD CityCar Cup team is staffed with aspiring young industry professionals, creating a high-performance environment, guided by experience and built on excellence.
With a long-term vision to become a works driver for Mercedes or Porsche, Reuben’s forthcoming season is a vital first step on the motorsport ladder. Combining a relentless work ethic with a focused approach to commercial partnerships – guided by P1 Productions – Reuben offers a unique opportunity for sponsors to join a journey driven by determination, resilience and ambition at the highest level.
